New blog on the block

Well, since writing that last blog post, I have NOT been able to get I'm Your Man out of my mind. If you're going to do it do it right, right? I might even have found it on Youtube and danced round the study to it. Actually, dancing round the study to Youtube is strangely energising. You should try it some time.

Anyhoo, what I'm really wanting to tell you about is a new blog on the block. It's written by 10-yo, and you should check it out, for interesting opinions on why the clever children in films and books are always portrayed as wearing glasses, and whether Hermione should have married Harry or Ron. Helping her set it up has been an interesting litttle window into Wordpress, and I'm thinking of joining you Wordpress people. I'm so fed up with the whole Blogger experience.

It's over at this link, and if you wanted to leave an encouraging comment, that would be kind. If you're going to do it do it right, right?

  1. Oooh, lovely. I'm a big Harry Potter fan (and re-watched all the films over Christmas with the boys) so I've left a comment. Very well written and excellent choice of photos.

  2. I expect my daughter will become a regular reader as she is utterly besotted with all things Harry Potter. She goes as a different HP character every yr to World Book Day!

  3. Cool! My 9 yo also set up a website recently (which I can't advertise because her website is not anonymous and mine is) so we will check out your daughters website for sure and as my daughter is also obsessed with HP I'm sure she will become an avid follower.

  4. I am a huge Harry Potter fan so good for her. Move to wordpress but if you're going to do it, I would suggest you move to a self-hosted site rather than the free wordpress.com as you get far better functionality with it. I have just done the switch and have been playing around with my blog (including the addition of affiliate sites that I am happy to promote which may earn me about 3p a year!)

  5. Your daughter has some comment moderating to do. I did like that latest post.

  6. It's fantastic! Although I will never be able to watch Harry Potter with innocent eyes again. The 'who with whom' is out there now.
